Tattooed wedding ring?

My husband and I are arriving at our 10th anniversary. I have acute eczema, and I am unable to use a wedding ring, it invariably causes a painful break-out (I've been through three rings in the course of our marriage, including one designed specifically for people allergy and eczema - no luck). My husband was greatly understanding, but I know that bothers him is that I'm constantly without a ring when he uses his loyalty. 'm Thinking to have a wedding ring tattooed as a birthday gift for him, and I'm looking for design and color ideas and suggestions. I am fair-skinned, and while I'm in a field rather creative, I am also a professional and I do not want anything too wild or ostentation. Any advice?
