Tattoo tribal designs

A tattoo can symbolize a myriad of different ideas, ranging from a lost loved one to a life-changing vacation, from hard-won achievements dreams and aspirations, and nothing in between. For these reasons, the tattoos are increasingly common in society.
Tattoos have been popular with aboriginal groups since before history began, in some parts dating back more than ten thousand years (Japan). These early examples of tattoos often attempt to offer some form protection in combat or in the afterlife. They also served as rights of way and official identification of a particular group or tribe. Later tattoos history drew the attention of the Western world by sailors who adorn their bodies with designs to protect them at sea and tell of their travels around the world. It is from this perspective many tattoos are contemporary.
The tattoos most clearly linked historically are 'tribal tattoos. These consist of thick, creating lines black interlocking shapes and designs resemble those seen in tribal warriors in many parts of Africa and Polynesia. The benefits to these tattoos, which include them are easy the first attempts to design and in its natural flowing lends them the tattoo prime real estate, such as the shoulders and back. However, these drawings were rehashed so many times that many tattoo aficionados feel they have been stripped of all real connections to tribal groups.
Some native groups actually tribal tattoos look in non-tribal as a form of identity theft, these tattoos are used to describe which one is individual and communicate a story family. The other large group of historically related tattoos are those with roots such as nautical stars and swallows.
Stars are a popular choice for a first tattoo as they can be very small and are usually little more than an outline. The more "star-like" classic "tattoo is the nautical star, a five-star with each point of division and a point half filled with black. Sailors receive these to ensure a safe journey at sea and ensure a return safe. The reason behind this is in its early days, sailors relied heavily on the stars (especially the North Star) for navigation.
As mentioned earlier, the swallow tattoo is another popular design. Sailors of old again inspired these tattoos. While at sea, the swallow was usually the first sign that land was near. Moreover, it is said that a swallow always finds its way home again safe return.
The irony with tattoos nautical theme is that they started as signs of masculinity and risk, but contemporary is more common to see a woman with a tattoo of a star a bird or a man.
