How long after a tattoo that I can swim?
I want to start a half sleeve for my birthday, but I'm also training for a triathalon. How long do I have to wait until I can go back to the water for a long period of time? Is there a way I can get a tattoo (outline) and still train and then get the shading done after the triathalon?
I have 9 tats ... and you really should wait at least a week before entering chlorine ..... Make sure the "open wound" is cured. If pond is freshwater lake / - be very careful ... lots of battery in this type of water. Ocean water -- even worse - the salt will leach out the ink tat faster if the wound is not healed. Also - after you get a tat and is cured ... sure you cover with sunscreen to keep it from fading (especially a tat with many colors). I ride bikes a lot in the summer and I have to remember that too!
